Its been a while since Ive been on this forum. I've had my lite-on since 8/09.. I flashed it with the probe using jungle flasher back then. I have been playing my backups without a problem since..(either with the activate ISO disk or not..))) I have never gone on or subscribed to XBox live and have a few questions before doing so.. Is it a "for-gone-conclusion" that ill get banned using my system and backed up games? Also, if you get banned, is it your system that gets banned, your user account, or both? Thanks for the answers to my noob questions..
If you have to use an activation disc there's a good possibility you will eventually be banned. However if you've never been online with your console you may at least be able to avoid the next ban wave which will probably happen next month as usual. When they ban your system they ban the console from going on Live as well as cripple the hard drive so that your saves wont be usable on a non-banned system (though this can be worked around). Your account will still be usable on any 360
Will the latest firmware prevent you from getting banned or at least delay it as opposed to ixtreme 1.6 which is what im currently running? Also, what is the latest firmware for my lite-on 7..... .
It's hard to say if it will completely prevent or even delay the banning...you can be banned with LT for various reasons. It is less likely if you use LT over 1.6, that's all. The latest version for the Liteon is I believe LT 1.1, maybe 1.2
No. Everyone gets banned eventually and this is proved every year. 1000's were banned last Novemember. Chances are if you make it through November, you're good for another year. I have friends that went years without even using ABGX and others that played by the rules, and got banned. It's the risk we take.
