I have been a longtime reader and just want to first say thanks to everybody here (of course, especially to seamokey) for all their hard work. Now to the question. I have read other threads that hint at xbox live not working with backup games (both off the harddrive and off the backup dvd) and I also noticed that xbox live updates the system. I was wondering if this was true, and what I would have to do to play xbox live (with an original dvd) and still have a modded xbox. Do I have to remove the mod? Do I have to remove the dashboard files? I thought this would be a good place to discuss xbox live and all mods and backups. Thanks all!
You have to either install an on/off switch on the modchip or use an unmodded xbox to play xbox live.. i dunno about the updating issue.
