    Hello,

I just got a Wireless ethernet adaptor for my Xbox, the XBOX is modded but Is dissabled when I try to run XBOX Live...

    http://geartest.com/images/xbox_wireless_adapter.jpg

It comes with an instalation CD, my router is compatible but am having the following issue. I insert the CD and it loads a few seconds of updates, then it loads the Microsoft logo and repeats the updates again. This repeats over and over and over again without any changes. If I try to run XBOX Live on the main manu it will not display any connections. My lights on the adater and green with the the wireless one constantly flashing. I will appreciate if anyone will let me know if they had the same issue or have a solution. Thanks.

And the xbox start recognizes the cd so... It also bring a set of instructions that tell me to install the components first and then place the cd on the tray. I've added a pic so u can see how the components look like. BTW keep in mind this is for the first XBOX that came out.

Have you tried running the cd in your pc? Im pretty sure the xbox wireless adapter is plug and play, Is your network secured by any encyption, try turning it off to see if it works then. Post back.

i dont think it is supposed to go in the xbox i think that would go into the computer...like thekingo7 said it should be plug n play...take the encryption of the router and see if it fixes it....

It doesnt really connect.... So I gave up and I hooked up the XBOX thru a long cable from the uptairs it looks kind of ghetto but it works. I guess I wasted my money on that wireless adapter since I never got it to work. :(
