was it true xbox live silver would be free and gold would charge you
for xbox 360
Yes xbox live silver is free. And gold you have to pay for.
colinman im pretty sure that the only difference between the two is that the gold will be online playable always, where as the silver only on weekends.
Hmm, i only play on the weekends...so that means..means...*several hours later*... Lucky MEE!!!
I knew there was going to be a catch, but its still a really good deal.
Yep, im not gonna complane
How much will it cost to have gold? Does anybody know?
actually thats a good question..... seeing that you would only be buying weekday play hopefully not much
for online play for xbox360 is there like a cord to be hooked up or somting??
Ya, well ofcoars, you have to hook it up to your router or whatever you have. the WiFi connection will make it wireless though. (but that comes seperate (probably to keep the price down)
i heard that live silver is free, and live gold is free on weekends
no the silver is free on weekends, and to get weekday play you have to buy the gold.
where the hell have you bin? jeez pay attention dude.
thanx for clearing that up for me
directly from xbox.com...
Multiple Levels of Service
On Xbox 360, you'll have a choice of service level. The Xbox Live Silver service means you can connect your Xbox 360 console to a broadband Internet connection and get functionality right out of the box. The premium Xbox Live Gold service delivers the complete online connection package. The breakdown is as follows:
Xbox Live Silver level
Create an online Gamer Profile
Access the Xbox Live Marketplace
Engage in voice and text messaging
Talk to a single friend at a time using voice chat
Receive video messages from Gold level members
Access massively multiplayer online games (additional fees may apply)
Xbox Live Gold level
Paid level of service
All the features of Silver level, and additionally:
o Play multiplayer games online
o Video chat
o Multiplayer online tournaments
o Participate in Xbox Live online programming, such as Game with Fame, Play and Win, and Prime Time activities
gold u pay for, silver is free unless u want to play against people online
I don't think you are correct, Logik666. However, from now on, if you want people to believe you back up what you are "pretty sure" about with facts before you start "informing" people. Like this- From what I have seen on http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=233481 , there is no evidence to back up your claim, though it does state the answer to colinman's question.
thanks for the support canis
well obviously im wrong, but i was so sure thats how they where gonna do it. Im tryin to remember where i heard that. O well, thanks for clearin that up, at least I know how there doin it now aswell
no offense here but i would rather pay for gold because the xbox 360 is online based so a lot of the features are downloadable demos and videos and game updates where if you sign up for silver they only give you online play and no being able to download games or movies which is really stupid
so in the long run i would pay for gold versus silver and i would rather have the features that gold provides versus silver
im getting conflicted reports
i remember reading on one website silver is free all the time and gold is free on weekends but has premium features.on another it said silver was only on weekends and gold 24/7.some other place told me silver just lets u download and gol lets u play online.
i predict silver will be free all the time and gold will just be better quality.
Your right about the conflicting reports. ^^
