    I'm gettin aliant high speed internet and it has a unique ip address and i'm wondering wheter or not u can be banned permanantly from xbox live if u have a unique ip address because i know most things bann ur ip address.

    i'm not sure but i think it banns a speaical code on your xbox MB. So your IP should be fine.

    damn i was hopin it would bann my ip so if i was banned i could just connect again to play after gettin rid of what they banned me 4.

    It bans the MAC address. Its a unique address for the network controller. There shouldn't be two MAC address that are the same, (Media Access Controller). You can take the xbox to any network connection anywhere and it will still be banned cause its idenified by the MAC.

    They don't ban the mac adress... they ban the EEPROM code
