XBox Media Center help

    i use a wireless adapter to connect to my router. i have a crossover cable connecting my xbox to my computer. i'm trying to share folders with my xbox thru xbox media center. i suck at networking so can some one help me out

    as long as you have your xbox and compueter hooked to the router there is no need to run a direct connection from the xbox to the pc.. in the pc you should be able to access the xbox in your network places..

    because my router is downstairs and i don't have money for a 100ft cable , when i can just use a crossover cable
