for some odd reason, XBMC's startup music doesn't play on its newer releases. the start.wav file is still there, but it doesn't play upon opening. the last version that i downloaded that played the startup sound was XBMC-CVS 2006-04-27-T3CH. i usually delete the entire XBMC folder from the xbox and copy over the new version's XBMC folder to replace it. is it something wrong that i'm doing?
I'm using the new version as well. This is my first version used so I didn't really know it played a sound, but mine doesn't either. May be a code error or something, or maybe the startup sound is just a blank audio file. I'll check into this too, see if I can see why it doesn't play. Now that I know this, I could make startup more "entertaining" Lol
I found the startup sound, or at least what i'm pretty sure is the startup sound. It isn't blank, so there has to be a code problem somewhere. I'll probably be messing with XBMC all day so i'll try to figure it out.
I have the startup sound. It's obnoxious too. Because it's so much louder than my games, music, or anything else I use the system for, so I have to crank my stereo down and then back up. Grrrr.... Stupid sound.
