I was wondering what the best dashboard and modchip for my version 1.3 xbox would be. I also want to keep my xbox live account on there too.
If you want to mod your Xbox and still wanna be able to play on LIVE then I suggest you get another Xbox. Modded Xbox and LIVE is shady, you don't know when you'll get banned with the smallest mistake. For me, I can't tell you what the best chip is because another person will tell you differently. It all depends on personal preference and we can go at it until the cow comes home. I use the X3 CE chip and I think it's the best so far. It has many features in the X3CL and very easy to use, plus it has a lot of support behind it, in case you run into troubles with it. The price can be expensive though, so I suggest you go with the X2 chip instead, which is half the price of the X3. And I think the new BIOS for the X2 also features most of what the X3 features now, so it's a good deal. As far as dashboards go, Evox should be good for beginners. Once you're comfortable with it then you can switch to Avalaunch or UnleashX. They both are a little more advanced, but keep Evox as your backup dash.
