I was wondering what anyone knew about the X.B.I.T. chip or the Xecuter 2.3 Lite + or the Chameleon w/ Solderless adapter. I'm looking into these chips and a 40 GB hard drive. Any help would be appreciated, I may be buying a brand new Xbox so it could end up being a new version. Will I have any problems? The Chameleon looks like it was only designed for v1.3 or lower. Thanks alot for the help you have all already given me from the forums.
if i were you i would just buy a pre-modded if you are going to buy a new xbox anyway. that saves you the hassle of trying to put in the chip and install the hd and everything else. check your private messages
well i am trying to get a used box for about 130, and the HD is my roommates that he is getting rid of, and then the chip i dont really mind putting in. if i went premodded it would cost me 300+ when i can do this for maybe under 200

Any of the chips you listed will work with any version Xbox. The X2.3 Lite is the only completely No Solder chip that will work with the v1.5's. All other chips need 2 extra wires soldered. RustyDog
