xbox mods and error codes

hi im all new i softmodded my xbox and restarted it and it came up with error 16 ive read loads of people saying buy a modd chip and that will sort it out is this true and if so what chjip should i go for ???????????????????/////

Well have you actually tried anything? Can you get a game to play or anything else? Cuz if you have and nothing then yes more than likely you'll have to hotswap or modchip, you can buy a modchip for pretty cheap now and it's not hard at all to install, plus then you'll never have to worry about messing up to bad (still possible but easier to fix now), and you can get a switch to turn it on and off unlike a softmod (harder to setup for softmod if you want to turn it off).
