Xbox needs service???

I just got my xbox working with my matrix chip. All seemed well, I got my new drive in and working fine. Then I opened file explorer to look around. Unfortunately, it provided no indication of how to get OUT of the file manager, so I just went thru the buttons to find one that'd take me back to the evolution x dashboard main menu. After I made it to the bottom right black one, the screen went blank, the box rebooted, and I was faced with a red power light and a message saying "your xbox needs service. Please contact microsoft".

Rebooting with the chip completely removed doesn't help. Nor does plugging in the old harddrive.

Does anyone have any idea wtf I did???? And more importantly, is there any way to fix it?

    Thanks for the help....
