ok so i bought a modded xbox from a kid who lives like an hour from me, i know the xbox works and it plays burnt games, when it boots up, shows blue xbox logo, and goes to evoX dashboard... when i try to go on xbox live it doesnt let me, and it says check cables, but it shows the cables are connected... i have my modem plugged into my router and my pc is too, i can get internet here and can FTP to my xbox... but i cant get on xbox live, i dont know if it is the modchip stopping me? or if it is my router... i have port forwarding on my router turned on and stuff, but yeah, i think it might just be the modchip not allowing xbox live connection... any tips? anything would be appreciated... Can you log on with the mod chip disabled? My friend's Xecuter 2.6 CE prevented the use of Xbox Live whenever it was enabled.
how do you disable the modchip? i have no idea what chip it is... nor do i know how to check it, i bought it from the kid and he told me that he put a bigger HDD and a modchip in it, i tested it, it worked so i bought it haha
