I got the E71 code and decided to do the X-Clamp fix. I bought the screws and everything but forgot to put the arctic silver back on after i replaced the x-clamps....now every time i turn on the 360, it gives me the 3ROD and the middle led doesn't flash when it is supposed to...the 360 doesn't overheat and there is no video coming on the screen...bricked? and help is appreciated...
so u have no thermal compound on it at all? if so you could probablly consider it a gonner. might want to try taking it back apart and putting some on though just to see if that works.
