I plan to purchase one or they other for christmas. Does anyone have any suggestion? Also, what should I keep in mind when purchasing for future upgades? (ex. mod chips and bios) thanks
I would say and xbox hands down!! Intel 700Mhz microprocessor, graphics processor by nVidia, 64MB RAM, 4X DVD drive, 8GB of storage space, an 8MB memory card and the ability for broadband Internet access. Try building a pc with that for less than $180!!
It also depends on what games. If you want to play any EA Sports games online, then forget about getting an Xbox, as EA Games are only online for the PS2. I solved my problem just by buying both of the systems. And if you want fair results on your question, then you want to ask this question in the PS2 forums also!
xbox all the way. i have an xbox and my best friend has a ps2 and a gc, and my xbox totally ownes his systems. i would say the ONLY thing ps2 has over the xbox is the ea sports games online. xbox live is alot better than the ps2 online gaming.
I have an xbox and i think it is so far the best system (other than the computer) but u need to pay to every year to use xbox live ($49.99 i think) and the starter kit is $79.99 including a year connection to xbox live and as far as i know the sony 2 u just need to buy the network adapter.
