I am in the market for either an XBOX or a PS2 game console. As bizarre as this may sound, I have zero preference except whatever system I end up buying must accept DVD+R media. That is an absolute must!

    Any suggestions?

Xbox is tough for the newbie, the PS2 is tough to solder in, the most easy I would say is the PS2, get the messiah2pro solder it in and do disk copy with record now DX or the like. Xbox is a pain in the azz with every game I back up, every xbox I mod is different, PS2 is always the same, just watch out for thoes 4 bios pins, they are tough the rest is a walk in the park. If you are going to go for the xbox get ready for a bumpy ride.

Unfortunately a flip top or the like will not work for the XBOX. You need a mod chip and a new dash like evox to be able to even read the xbox data disks to make a backup or play from the hard drive. There is no easy street with the XBOX. Read the posts here and you will learn how to mod your XBOX with a solderless mod like the Matrix. Good Luck._X_X_X_X_X_[small]XBOX v1.1
