xbox overheating....

    My sons xbox stopped working and the green light on the power supply turned red. The manual says it has overheated and to turn it off. We left it off for an hour. Went back on it for one hour and it happened again. The console is only a few weeks old. His friends stay on there consoles for hours but havn't had this problem. Any ideas, should I take it back? Thanks

    Take it back, seems the power source is faulty.

    Thanks Eisherz. The surface temperature is about 45 degrees. Is that normal?
