IM been an xbox owner since day one of the first incarnation of xbox. But increasingly im tempted to purchase a ps3. Wanting to know if any one else has been tempted , or if any one who has both consoles could advise weather to purchase. Main reason for purchase obviously gaming. secondly media hub. i watch everything on my xbox, want to klnow if teres the same support for the ps3 ie avi. x264. Divx Xvid Im not trying to start a discussion with people flaminng either console just looking sound advice as weather to trade in my wii , and microsoft wireless wheel to purchase a ps3 if its even worth it ..

i also own both systems and like them both. i stream music to the 360 cause it has way better visuals, and movies to the ps3 cause it works great with the dvd mpg format i convert to with nero. games are good on both, games that have the ability look much better on the ps3. i recently beat moh- aireborn on 360 and thought it looked great, curious to know if the ps3 version will be a port or will look any better
I'd say go with the PS3 because I've heard people saying that the Devs are already maxing out the 360, and soon they're going to get bored with it... There's more to come
im a ps3 owner and honistly the xbox 360 is kinda kool but jus abit loud, but i got to admit dose av loads off gd games out at the mo, the ps3 is lackin with its games but its not bin out long so give it a chance, but if ur a xbox owner then upgrade to the ps3 becuse when you think about it everythin that the ps3 has built in, you have to buy seperatly for the xbox 360, even tho the 360 is kinda but not my kinda console
I own both the ps3 and the 360,i honestly couldnt choose one over the other as in my opinion they are both great. However i do realise there are major differences,the PS3 has more power ,you can connect more devices to it like an external harddrive but the 360s dashboard is better,live is better and it has more games. As for video support for the PS3,once linux is installed it can play any of them. In my opinion the PS3 is just a fancy powerfull pc and the 360 is mainly games orientated.
yh i agree with you on that, these companys are jus tryin to see who can make the better console but really there not askin wat the buyers(US)want. the 360 is a normal games console with very gd graphics but the ps3 is jus goin overboard with the features they put, dnt get me wrong i do like the ps3 coz i own 1 but i belive sony are jus tryin to be big headed about it.

The 360 does 1080p through HDMI and it has HD-Dvd,no matter what people think there is no difference in quality between the new disc formats.
Ya, thing is, they can fit more of that quality onto a BR DVD then a DVD9. Much more room for that extended campaign or whatever.
Well the PS3 is finally getting some decent games so now is a good time to buy one , I've had my ps3 for the past 6 months and barly played it because the games I wanted just war'nt out .
ok so the xbox 360 may have a hd-dvd player that is sold SEPERTLY plus a hd dvd player costs about £350, and a blu-ray dvd player iv seen for £699 soo errr ps3 wins by nok out!
I've had a xbox 60 for around a year and last week bought a ps3 with 3 games for £379, having played fifa 08 on both consoles i must admit that I actually prefer the 360 version in terms of graphics and playability, plus you can use backup games on the 360. I honestly wouldn't rush to buy a ps3 because for the time being the 360 is by far the best console in terms of choice of games.
True, but then again i have a 360 as well, running Xtreme 5.3c and i,d far rather my PS3... just depends on the person.
LOOL are you sure you own a ps3 and you have the game on both consoles for some reason. Well ive played both and ps3 has better graphics without a doubt! Gameplay i didnt like either because i dont like Fifa
