Ok I am posting this for new people who are dealing with patches and who hate to copy the game to their PC patch it and then copy the game back to the Xbox (if they are just going to use their HD to backup the game). Okay if your game needs a patch you will need to use a program like craxtion to patch the .xbe file, but what you don't need to do is move the whole game onto your PC. Just use any program to backup your game on your HD. If it needs a patch it will not work, you just have to FTP and copy the .XBE file to your PC and then patch it and them move it back to your XBOX and your game will play. I know for the the experienced person this will sound stupid, but there are many noobs you don't know this....and plus it says in the title that this is for noobs.
I asked this in another thread as well, but wasn't answered... Does the Evox 2.6 bios take care of the need for patching like the X2 4977 bios does?
