Good day! I would usually search for answers but I dont know what my problem is exactly. I have an Xbox v1 with a cheapmod. The problem is when I turn on the xbox, it boots in random, there are times when the modded xbox logo will come up (XBMC btw) and sometimes its the unmodded dashboard. Ive already tried renaming the default xbe's but its giving me errors. I think its one of the reasons that I screwed up my 250GB HD because i need to keep restarting it to go to the XBMC dashboard, I would not like to go to the default unmodded dash unless I go through my modded one. Btw, Im getting error 7 on the said HD, i know its a hardware issue, is there anyway to fix it or do I really need to get me a new HD. TIA!
your D0 connection is dodgy.. that's the original problem needing the constant reboots. To guarantee always booting to the modded bios and dash you can just ground it to the nearby screw. E7 hdd is fried .. the other problems like the reluctance to load the m$ dash were all likely related to the hdd failing
so i need to open my xbox and solder something? i really dont know what d0 is. thanks for your reply anyways.
are people incapable of looking at ANY of the chipping guides? D0( is shown on every single one.. as you need to open up the box to get at the hdd then nothing is lost connecting the point to the nearby grounded screw forcing the chip (cheapmod is a chip) to start up every time
