Im using the original Splinter Cell to soft mod... so far ive downloaded the "ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC" and have them on my xbox now... everything was fine till i got to the part where i press "install UDE 1 or 2" or something like that and when i choose "2" (i got 5838) it gives me the error " ERROR (line 1): (callscript) "ActionScript file failed execution" " exactly spelled like that... any ideas? please
Thats the problem, your not suppose to download the ude 2 unless you have a xbox kernel higher than 5713.You were suppose to download ude 1 if ur kernel is on 5713.(Remember ude 2 only works on us/canadian xboxes.) Try uninstall the ude you installed.Now go to back up on ltools and after you do that, go back to ltools and select ude install.Select UDE 1.Next it will ask you to pick a bios loader/patcher, from what I hear PBL-Metoo is the best.After that it will tell you to choose which bios to install, use Evox M8 for version 1.6+ xboxes and X2 4981 for version 1.0 thru 1.5 xboxes.Finally choose EvolutionX or MXM for the dashboard.(Most people pick evolution-x,I think it is better.)Wait for it to finish installing, when it tells you to turn off your xbox, you can then turn it off. If your screen goes black or green, it is normal, just wait for the xbox's lights to blink on and off, that signals that it is complete. Hope this fixes your problem. Xboxmod15
Thanks for trying but I do need UDE2... i just gotta read more its cause i didn't download the extra dashboard... whats it Evox or something thanks though man i'll try again with that and if it doesn't work i'll come back
so you are sure that ur xbox was us/canadian xbox?If it is and you do need ude just go back to ur ltools menue and uninstall ude and when its done it should say you can safetly turn off ur xbox.Go back to ltools menue and go to back up and select the blue button when it gives you the choices.When it is done backing up ur stuff turn off ur xbox and go back to ltools.When u are at ltools try and reinstall ude2.A message should appear saying something like this...You already have exesting files of this one, then it should give you 2 choices. select the one that says overright.When that is done just follow these steps(Next it will ask you to pick a bios loader/patcher, from what I hear PBL-Metoo is the best. the problem is if i try anything fro mthe menu it gives me that error message so im gonna try getting a dashboard than if it does'nt work still im gonna buy one modded im lazy
So far i did the Itools with the Linux installer and the Save for splinter cell... now when i try to backup install/uninstall UDE or really anything it gives me that error almost forgot i do have a Canadian XBox
This stuff seems so easy at first but when i really try to start its complicated to find a "softmodding for dummies" type of guide :| right now im trying to figure out if this laptop can burn........ all i need is a guide but it has to be really specific (im not too bright)
I am get really mad because I don't have my regular dashboard because of the crappy ass modding is there any way I can get my dashboard back it is not the online dashboard it is the one where U can view you memory etc..... reply asap if u do I really o u
