I have a 1.0 xbox with kernel version 4034.01 and dashboard version 5960.01 and cannot seem to get the SID softmod to work. When using the Splinter Cell exploit, after selecting "checkpoints" it goes to a blank screen and does nothing. When trying the Mech Assault exploit I just get a message saying that it can be run. I have tried re-downloading and re-transferring the files but nothing helps. I am at a loss as to what to do next. Can anybody give me some guidance?
Umm, I've never worked with a 1.0 Xbox before but I'll try and help. Have you got a live update on it? If not put any xbox live cd (such as Halo 2) and go to xbox live. If that doesn't help well then try a different softmod. I'm sorry couldn't help much.
I am having the same issue with Splinter Cell it just freezes when I try to load the linux save. I have softmodded a few xbox's with the Mechassualt exploit but that game has been recently damaged. I cannot seem to find an answer to this but I will post when I do.
Mechassualt needs a special version to run, pain in the ass! Splintercell on the other hand will work with any version of the original game! Use the SID files I provide and use my tutorials also!
Well, Are you modding a PAL or NTSC xbox? I've tryed modding a PAL xbox with NTSC files didn't work so try the opposite that you had.
