Xbox sometimes flashes red and green when Evo is switched on. Any ideas why?

I had a switch put in the side of my xbox that turns the mod/evox off, but sometimes when I turn my xbox on it flashes red and green and refuses to work. A slight tap on the top left hand side sorts it out and it works for the rest of the evening. If I turn it off and on again, it sometimes works, sometimes goes back to flashing again.

With the mod switch in the off position so that the normal MS dashboard comes up it never flashes red and green. Any ideas why this is happening and any solutions? Can I change it so it still brings up the Evox with the mod switch in the off position, as I don't think I'll be going live?

Probably some of the pins are not making good contact (assuming is a no-solder mod). You will need to open the xbox and align it.
