I had a friend come over the other day and stuck his copy of star wars/tetris world in my xbox. It proceeded to update my dashboard and trashed my EVO-X dashboard. I re-installed my dash with a EVO-X CD and deleted all the new files it installed. Should I have just left the update and re-installed EVO-X that way it would not do the update again? pretty sure I know the answer to this, Just thught I would souble check. Thanks in advance

When you install Evox don't trash the file xboxdash.xbe as its the original dashboard... instead rename your file to evoxdash.xbe. Your bios will recognize this and boot with the evox dash and you'll still be able to access the M$ dashboard if ever you need it. Unless you got a out-of-date bios.

I did the opposite..I renamed the EVO-X file to MSxboxdash and then renamed the original after making a backup of my entire XBOX to msxboxdash so i could use the original.. then edited the evox.ini to point to the original renamed dash.. sorta the same thing right? So if I do it your way I should be fine when my xbox gets updated again correct ?

Exactly... this way when live will update it will only change your original dashboard while leaving your evox intact!
