The first time i read this i didn't quite understand how you were hooking it up. Now i see that it's just crazy. If you're going to use the 360 on a monitor you should use the hdmi port. You can even get a hdmi to vga adaptor so it will plug right in. For sound you will need to use this cable.

If you don't have a hdmi console then you have a couple options. You need to get a rca converter for the monitor, and a rca l/r mic plug (female end) for the speakers. It sounds a bit easier to do it this way.

You can buy a switcher so you have have both vga cables and audio hooked up at once and then just hit a button to switch it all over, that would be the easiest way to do it.

The way you're thinking of doing this, is running all the inputs to your computer and having it display the picture and produce the sound. I don't see how this would work without some serious problems. I guess you could do it with a capture card but the quality would vary depending on the computer.

I guess if you want a detailed list on how i would do it then let me know and i'll make one for you.
