Xbox will no longer read discs...

I don't know what happened, but my Xbox now will no longer read discs I insert. In the PHX loader it says disc read error or no disc inserted, and on the dash it reads D: No Disc....

I have already ripped 40++ games on it and had been watching movies on it, I never changed any settings.

Any ideas?

 

your dvd-rom may have kicked the bucket...it may be time for you to buy a new dvdrom.

 

Any other ideas? anyway my roommate might have inadvertantly change some setting to not read the discs?... I've only had this thing for 3 months.
