I have installed my chip(xenium with solderless adapter) to my xbox(a v1.5) and reassemble it. When i go to turn it on, instead of getting the mod's bios, I get the flubber movie and it boots to the original xbox dashboard. Can some one please help me!?!?! I am very new to modding...
Did you ever get any 'Print' with your Modchip? Or at least a CD-R with a 'Readme.txt' File? I mean I would have assumed that you should have gotten the Flashing Utility with your Chip. Perhaps a gigging though that might yeild something.... But from the sounds of things, and given that I replyied to another Thread of yours on this subject allrady. + What you described above leads me to ask you. IS YOUR CHIP EVEN TURNED ON? I do not own any current Modchip. And I'm starting to think that just perhaps the X-B.i.t even with it's lack of LCD Support is a far superior 'Chip' with it's external USBx.x and Dipswitch Board. Now I don't know how you might 'install' a new Image (over a CD-RW??) Like with the Xecuter Chips? Sounds like a PITA to me. But you said that "you connected your Chip and everything was a go!" So given that you might have to press 'A' (or something) on the Controller to enter your ChipOS al-la X3, SmartXX or Xenium (does the Spider even have one?). Another thing assuming that everything is in deed working as it should be if your useing a normal 'Green Flubber' Immage on your Modchip. AND YOU DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER DASHBOARD INSTALLED (normaly on the C: Partition),. The BIOS Image will run down a list of Dashboad.xbe's (i.e. XBOX -EXE's): Default.xbe (DVD ONLY) Avalauch.xbe Evox.xbe M$Dash.xbe If the Image in question can NOT locate any of the above then it will land on the M$Dash and so it will appear that nothing has happend when in fact it did! The best and more cosmetic way to fix this 'misunderstanding' is to use whatever you installed to you Modchip as a color version of it (one that's not Green by default), that should be a very large visual clue as to wether or not your 'Chip' is working or not. It might also be a good idea for you to try downloading something like the Slayers 2.5 (or better) and burn that to either a CD/RW or a DVD±R. So that you might have an easier time installing a new Dashboard. As unfortunatly you can not gain FTP Access to your XBOX™ via the M$Dash. Alternitvely to downloading Slayers you could try useing the Xecuter2 4978.xx Image. Which has an FTP Client built onto the Modchip. All you need to do is press 'A' and then FTP into '192.168.10.123' and use 'x3' as the Login and Password. This should allow you the headroom to install a different Dashboard like Evox or Avalauch. At which point you shouldn't see the M$Dash anymore...
