I have a spiderchip 1.0 on a Xbox 1.0. I've had it modded for about a year and now all of a sudden, when I power up it goes to the ms dash. I can't ftp into the hard drive to change the settings back to go into evox dash due to it going into ms dash. I've tried making a new evox boot disk but can't get the drive to read the disk. Any ideas??
First off is the Chip even on? Second did you ever install a Firmware onto the Chip itself? Barring that which Firmware are you trying to use Xecuter x EvoX xx or mabye the Dev Firmware from Complex? Newer Firmwares can no nolonger be edited (one reasion way I quit fuxx'ing 'round with Firmwares! after X2 4980.67),. But, it could be that the the Firmware your trying to use has a preference for Avalauch instead of EvoX. In such case useing a different Firmware might help
I keep the chip on at all times, so that isn't the problem. I even opened the box back up to make sure that it didn't get knocked off of where is is supposed to be setting. I am using an xecuter bios on the chip, but it has been so long since I flashed it, I can't remember what version I used. The version of xecuter that I used I got from a friend, who was also using evox as his dash. Its just blowing my mind why, for no apparent reason, it has decided to boot into ms dash instead of evox. I had not made any modifications to the software prior to it doing this.
The only thing I can tell you is to try installing the Xecuter2 4978.03 (a.k.a the FTP BIOS), There should be something in the readme.txt about the preset FTP Adress. All you have to do is to just press 'A' during boot sequence.
Thanks for your help. I was FINALLY able to get SlaYer Auto Installer to burn to a disk that the box would read. I just put that on the harddrive and everything seems to be working right.
