xbox won't connect to pc

    I am having trouble getting my pc and xbox to connect together. i am using flashfxp, i enter in the ip address of my box along with the username and password but i just cant get it to connect, it keeps timing out and trying again. I am using a cross over cable & my box has been soft modded. Does it actually need to be chipped for it to connect?

    yes im having the same problem except my xbox is chipped

    i keep getting that time out message too.

    Any help would be great.

    make sure that your dashboard or whatever is on static instead of dhcp. and make sure you configured everything right.

    pc settings:
    ip: 192.168.0.1
    subnet: 255.255.255.0



    xbox settings:
    ip: 192.168.0.3
    subnet: 255.255.255.0
    gateway: 192.168.0.1
