Xbox wont start

I started installing a mod chip, but noticed that my power inlet was sparking when connected to the power (silver box that power cord plugs into) and then my xbox wouldnt power, so i took it out and noticed a solderd join was black with no solder in it, so i resolderd it but it still wnt start- it makes a small click sound each time i push a button(power or eject)

Any suggestions?

 

sounds like the PSU burned out,probably will have to buy a new one off of ebay....

 

Is there anyway i could try and fix it?

If all else fails, they sell replacement power supplies for $25.
