i just bought a used axbox from a friend of mind, and i was messing around with it trying to figuer it out and i did something to it. now it gives me the 13 error. it plays games fine. ive tryed slayer 2.7 and it gives me the 14 error. i dont know what else to do. help please?

thax ill try that 2night. plus i tryed your hotswapping xboxHDM but i found out that my HD is locked. is there anyway i can unlock it with it still connected to my computer? r can i continue with your advice above?
Hotswapping is the process of unlocking. If it's telling you it's locked then you have done it wrong!
how could i have done it wrong? when i connected everything up and get to the screen to choose the 8 options it told me that it was locked. is there anyway i can unlock it easly?
You can tell if the drive is being unlocked. When the Xbox starts, it'll go through the green flubber. It will then stop at the big XBOX logo. After a few seconds the white 'Microsoft' logo will appear! Then your drive is unlocked! My hotswap tutorial suggests that you unplug the Xbox DVD drive and force an error 12. With this error on your screen the HDD is unlocked! You can then Hotswap!
