Hello everyone, I have xbox with the old xecuter (v1) but I have read that they are not flashable through evox. I don't know if this is true but I read it on http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evox-flash.php. My other question is if there any way to flash it (even w/o evox) and if anyone has done it successfully. ThanX
Sorry to tell you but no it is not flashable. You will have to upgrade your chip to a newer flashable one.

Hey, if you're going to remove it, don't actually de-solder and take the wires out, just solder the new mod-chip's wires to the old (cut) ones... I don't know if that was an obvious one, just didn't want you to go through hassle if you didn't have to
Netscanur, I was actually thinking about it but I don't know how would the xbox react since the xecuter 1 takes over the original bios and I don't quite know how the xecuter 2 (for example) would take over. I guess the only way is to "disconnect" something from the old chip to make sure that the xbox will not recognize it. Actually is sounds funny but now I need the help of the people that sucessfully 'were not' able to install their xecuter 1 right. I don't know but if you have tried or know anybody doing it, I would be curios to know what happened. If I will learn anything, I will post it. Thanx.
