Just giving a little more detail on an earlier problem. Ive installed 2.3b lite in ver. 1.5(reopened and everything is installed correct) when I turn on my xbox with the chip on the screen is blank. I cant flash it or do anything with it because there is no screen. The tray opens but i put it back in and it reopens after 20 sec. If the chip is off then I get the xbox screen for 3 sec. then the service required page. (Im not sure but is there suppose to be a sub power adapter in the 2.3b lite like in the 2.3 lite? If so i dont have it) Any help would be appriciated
K, first make sure you are using the RCA cables that came with your xbox, sometimes that will help to see the picture, if it still doesnt work, no biggie. You can still flash the chip w/o seeing what is on it. When the tray opens just insert the update CD. Make sure you burn it right, and you may need to try a few different brands before you find one that will read. **the follwing may confuse you, if so then disregaurd: its past midnight and I have had very little sleep lol** As for the FRAG when the chip is disabled, mine does that also, I believe it is because I did not use the second ground wire. When installing my friends, we used the second set of ground wires and put both the black and grey wires from it between the screw and the other ground. This caused his to still boot to the cromwell when it was disabled, then we disconnected the grey wire, and poof it worked fine. So, if you did not use the second set of wires (1 black with a screw hole, and the other grey) then try connecting the black one to the ground. Again, not sure if that will solve the disable problem, but it may. let me know
