trying and trying helppppppp

2.1 pro installed fine I think, when I start up my box cd opens and it says to insert bios update. I thought this chip was already preflashed. Ive read and read and burned and burned....no go
do i need to go via the parallel port? How do I find a human being in the flesh in Denver Colorado that can save my box before it goes through the window

the easiest way to flash the bios is to use x2bm.

 

heres the guide i used, but ther is a newer version of x2bm so you might have to figure that out. but its about the same thing.
