Ok, so I want to play on Xbox Live, but I need to disable the chip first. I've been looking all over the internet and I haven't been able to find a tutorial on how to build an external on/off switch. Can someone help me out? Also, I'm definitely going to switch the old hard drive with a new and bigger one. What do I have to do to go on Xbox Live after I do that? Thanks!
for the HDD, just make sure you get 1 that can be locked, or else you'll be banned from xbox live. As for the chip, its real easy, just pop a switch (spst sub-mini toggle for example) linked to both of the chip on/off points on the chip (can be soldered on the backside of the pcb to leave the pins clean)
