I had softmodded my xbox, then was going to replace the hard drive to a 80gb one, but I unlocked my orginal xbox hard drive before I took it out(do ask why I did this it was late) I had back up my xbox hard drive on my computer but when I use the eeprom file with xbhdm but that didn't work the xbox gives me an 06 error. So I don't have the eeprom to relock it or the new hard drive. I was going to get a mod chip anyway to play on Live if I get the Xenium SP. ICE soderless chip will I be able to put it into my ver. 1.2(Halo edition) xbox and use either the old or new hard drive without knowing the eeproms? Thank you for help you can provide.

you can becuase the (could be wrong but 99% positive)xenium chip provides a great tool - the xbox hd upgrade wizard. So all you have to do is plug in your old one, and using a y-splitter on the power and ide cables, you can set up the new one as a slave drive. The wizard will then go through and completely format your drive. You then plug in your new hd [bold]without[/bold]the y-spliter.
