Hope someone can help as I've looked for an answer to this but can't find it.

I'm having a problem jtagging a xenon motherboard with a 5766 dashboard. I've made the lpt cable and soldered it to the board but when its connected to the computer nandpro won't detect it and I keep getting Could not detect flash controller.

Now I've tried the lpt cable with another xenon board and also a jasper board, both times nandpro detected these straight away and did its thing. My soldering is good and i've checked it about a thousand times and can't find any faults in my soldering or cable.

I've tried various combinations of using and not using the resistors and diodes with no success and everything else that i could find listed on google.
The only thing I can think of is there is a problem with the board. Is there different ways of wiring the lpt cable to the board or does anyone else have any other suggestions.

    Thanks

had this problem with a xenon a while back...its sitting on the FU pile of consoles. never could figure it out, tried connecting a ground wire from the xbox to the PC thinking that was it, made a completely new LPT cable new diodes everything and was still a no-go. hoping that once i get my USB flasher in it will work.

Make sure you have the 360 power cable plugged in securely. Also, you might have to change the LPT settings in your BIOS. Usually there is Normal, ECP, EPP. You'll have to play around with those settings.
