can anyone tell me how to fix my pc, i boot from floppy drive but it cant find a boot record. harddrive in good con. boot.ini files ok. no option to repair from win xp setup disk. wont read floppy boot disk get error diskI/O error. no viruses or anything. just decided not to boot?
Hi, You could try telling XP recovery disc to use recovery console and then use fixmbr option. That MAY sort it for you. What caused it to stop booting? What was last thing you were doing on it? Cheers.
ill try the fixmbr command...the last thing i was doin was playin grand theft auto 3, and it was fine, no problems shutting it down either. thanks..
