Hey, I've been meaning to get into this project for a while now, but only now have been able to afford the parts.

My one concern right now is availability of drivers for XP with more recently released hardware. I'm primarily a gamer, so I'm a bit afraid of Vista. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about compatibility with older games, among other things.

So, I suppose my questions are:

Where can I get drivers for XP, if they exist?

Is Vista really that bad for gaming?

    Many thanks.

As long as you don't just buy a prebuilt PC off the shelf, there are no issues getting drivers for XP, if anything the situation is still in XP's favour. If you buy a prebuilt system though, you may encounter issues trying to get drivers for the chipset, or especially for any add-in cards used other than graphics.
