xp pro and nero

    noone seems to be able to help......after i compile a cd{any format} when i click burn.it locks up................help.maybe i have to disable the windows media player recorder but dont know how.help please anyone

    have you tried other burning software, other than what i presume (nero)?

    Packet writing software? Antivirus? Other programs running in background?

    ive tried several others with no luck........and nothing running in back.......anyone know how to disable windows media 9's cd burner?

    Are you even sure that it is you media 9 player that has caused the problem?

    Have you re-installed your drivers? or updated them if there is an update patch?

    Also, have you deleted the software and then re-installed it?

    I believe XP has an update for this? Look for something along the lines of: Q320174_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU. That is the CD Burning fix for XP (there may be a newer one.., havent checked in awhile)
