xps 400 & pci card with the via 6421 chipset

    I have a Dell XPS 400, and I was wondering if it takes and will work with a pci card with the via 6421 chipset. I have plenty of room for it in the tower..The reason I ask is I was told that pentiums chips dont support the pci card.. Any help would be appriciated!! Thanks
