I used to make backups of my xbox 360 games with my samsung ms25 drive while it was flashed with xtrm0800. Now i was just messing around with firmware toolbox and i noticed that xtrm0800 is desined for ms25 drives. Can i flash my new ms28 with that firmware?
The 0800 is for unlocking the drive so it can be detected in Windows. You don't reflash the drive with it anymore. Download the 0800 iso and burn it to a disc. I have a separate ms28 drive which I now use for backups instead of the sh-d162c. It's flashed with xtreme 5.3. When I want to make a backup, I run the 0800 disc first to unlock the drive, then boot in to Windows. You can not use any ixtreme firmware with the 0800 disc. It has to be xtreme 5.3 or lower.
