xvid avi files

    i have two avi files which i have joined with easy video joiner the problem is when i play the joined there is a picture but no sound.am i missing a codec and would you know which one i need.when you play each file on its on there is audio but when joined there is a picture but no audio.

    If you can play them idividually then it isn't a codec issue. I would suggest that you use something else to join. Is the filesize of the joined the sum of the two parts or smaller?

    Open the 1st file with VirtualDub.
    File___Append AVI segment and load the 2nd.
    Set Video___Direct Stream copy and Save (F7).
    If the AVI are identical, VirtualDub can join them 'direct copying' them.
    If VirtualDub gves some errors (like "framerate different: 23.97675 and 23.97645" you cannot do this).
    Try to load them and pray...
