I have an vXid movie and want to burn it to DVD disc so I can watch it on home theater system. I am having a problem with the audio however. I have AC3 Filter installed for the audio (it is AC3 audio not MP3) on my computer. When I first loaded the avi in windows media with the proper codecs the sound was really low. So I went into the control panel and under AC3 FIlter I set the preset to LOUD and it plays just fine with the audio on my laptop (no burn to DVD disc yet). So I though maybe it was just the way the AC3 filter is putting out the sound. So I burn the avi to DISC with DVD SANTA and put it in the home dvd player and it plays fine but the volume is really low. I really have to crank up the volume knob. So when I burn the avi to DVD does it use my AC3 filter settings? If I have the preset to LOUD and then burn it will it have the proper loudness? I am new to this stuff but cant figure out why the volume is really low when burnt to disc. Any help? I just want the AVI file properly on a DVD with the correct audio settings. THANKS!
There's a trick you can try: There's a software called 'fixcodec' which comes with K-Lite Codec Pack. Run it, and check 'boost ac3 volume' under 'settings'. Good luck!
