Hi, i've been hoping to find out a solution to my problem, here' my scenerio: i have downloaded an XviD movie with AC3 audio. i then converted it with TMPGenc plus 2.5 to a .mv2 and .mp2 files. The video quality of the .mv2 is amazing, but the audio doesn't work, when i combine them both into .vob files for a dvd-r. Then i tried to use it as AC3 audio, using VirtualDub, but again, no luck, does anyone know my problem. I have the Xvid and AC3 codecs installed. thanks in advance.
Try this, Use VirtualDub Mod to Demux the audio track from the Xvid movie. Then convert the AC3 to MP2 48 KHz with Headac3he. After you convert your Xvid video stream to MPEG2, Multiplex the two files together. This has worked for me on several files. Guides are available here at afterdawn or just search around on Google. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]"Now let's go break open that glow stick and pour it into Homestar Runner's Mountain Dew...I hear they have to pump your stomach for that stuff..." -------------------------------------------------- Strong Bad - http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.htm[/small]
thanks, but when i tried to convert the ac3 audio to mp2, i just got an error from h3adache about the stream being corrupt, so i ripped it again with virtualdubmod, and still got an error, why is that? i've watched the movie as Xvid with no sound problems at all, why do you think virtualdubmod is having trouble ripping it, or why h3adache is saying it's got a corrupt stream? Thanks again for your previous help!
You can try to fix the corrupt file with BeSliced 0.2 from Doom9. I have never used it myself but it claims it can fix corrupt AC3 files and might be worth a try http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software2.htm
