im really sorry if its been asked/answered 100+ times but im a real n00b to dvd's etc so please bear with me , ok i have an film in xvid format and i want to convert it to vob so i can burn it and watch it on my dvdplayer, i have searched and tried loads of software but they all have limits and watermarks on the outcome etc so i was wondering if you guys could point out some software thatll convert to VOB for me without limits/watermarks and is it normal for it to take a few hours to encode ?
Most converter programs will put a watermark on the video if the program is not registered. Would you happen to have Nero? If so you might have Nero Vision Express wihich will convert Xvid files to DVD format. Below is a guide from bbmayo website that shows you how to convert the Xvid to DVD. Also you asked if it should take 2 hours. Yes with some programs it will take 2 hours. It all depends on the program and how big the video file is.
