XVID to DVD or VCD?

    Hi i just downloaded a xvid compressed .avi adult flick, i want to burn that on a disc so i can watch on tv. i have sonic and it allows me to turn videos into a DVD or VCD. Which one should i do? Which one will have the higest quality?

    XVID codec compressed
    .avi
    ~580mb
    1 hour 7 min.
    data rate: 144kbps

    DVD or VCD.

    I would suggest DVD as long as you have a DVD burner. The only real use for a VCD would be if you didnt have a DVD burner, or if the video file was relativly small, around 20 minutes. Also, a DVD will give you the highest quality.

    YA dude, if you have a dvd burner use that as the picture wont be as good, If your looking for encoding spees go with vcd (I couldnt see the picture on an adult flick) being that important

    Since it is an adult flick, I would convert to VCD and compress the audio to almost nothing. There isn't any dialog to listen to anyway. This also gives a bit of security since many DVD players don't like VCDs and you can label a CD as music to fend of sticky fingers from taking it. (pun intended) I would label it and any others something like "Zamfir's pan flute box set Disk 1,2,..,X". Catch the association?
