does anyone know how to convert an xvid file to a dvd file.nero vision express won't do it. also how do you convert/open a rar file to avi. does anyone know what an nrg file is either. please offer help asap!!!
Right first things first you'll need to download a copy of winrar, vso divxtodvd and vso copytodvd just follow the links below: Winrar http://www.download.com/3000-2250-10007677.html Divxtodvd http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm copytodvd http://www.vso-software.fr/products/copytodvd/copytodvd.php then when you have all these you will need to install all of them, right what you do with the rar file is right click on it(if there is numerous ones for the same thing just the first one) and extract then select where you want it to be extracted to. When you have an avi/divx/xvid file what you want to do is open up copytodvd and write video dvd and then locate where the file is, divxtodvd will then open up automatically then click on the green plus icon if your movie isn't already displayed and then convert this proces can take anything from 1hour to 3 hours so be patient and it isn't advised for you to do anything else on your computer while this process is underway. When done if you have a blank dvd disc inserted it will write this movie automatically. Not 100% sure but I think an NRG file is a CD-image file that can only be burned in nero.
