if you want to make a menu for your disks i do believe that by default, the program makes one for you

The only way I know of doing what you wish is with an encoder like TMPGEnc Plus (for DVD), MainConcept or any other program that will output an mpg file and then author that in Ulead MovieFactory to add your background and audio and then it will burn the DVD, too. I am sure that other authoring programs will let you add to the menu but you will need a burning program like ImgBurn (free). Also, the time used to encode will be considerably longer than ConvertXtoDVD, especially with TMPGEnc and some trials have watermarks in them like MainConcept (may not bother you, though) or are limited like CCE.

You are right for the moment convertxtodvd will not let you add music to the menu, but this should be available in version 3.
