I have Xvid .avi with AC3 sound. When I try to encode it with TMPGEnc it can´t find audio source. I´ve tested .avi with GSpot and it says everything is ok. Can AC3 sound be converted to Mpeg? My other .avis (Xvids and Divxs)works well with TMPGEnc,but they have sounds in Mpeg.
try virtual dub mod to first extract the ac-3 sound then put it in TMPGEnc as a seperate stream ...... and when you get to just about the start of TMPGEnc remember to do the video and audio streams seperatly.....
If you Install this : http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/AC3ACM/AC3ACM.zip Then Tmpgenc should be able to decode the AC3 audio It"s self, It works Fine on my System...
