when analizing it stops at 14% and gives me a copy right error..im using dvd shrink to shrink it and then dvd decrypter to burn..any ideas
I succesfully backed it up using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Make sure you have the latest DVD Decrypter (3.5.4.0). I use ISO read mode, but you can also use File mode to rip the movie. After the rip is complete, open the DVD folder or ISO with Shrink. This movie has a lot of garbage in it. Look for stuff like deleted scenes, director commentary, etc... and change them to still images. Also do not forget to compress menus and extras as far as they can go. Your final movie compression should be over 70%. All you are doing wrong is using Shrink first. Decrypter can break more copy protection than Shrink. Also DVD Dcrypter will give you some info about structure protection and dummy sectors. This is normal.
Jaguargod is correct -- last winter, Sony / Columbia / Tristar DVDs began appearing with the new Sony ArCCos copy protection scheme, which totally causes DVDShrink to freeze, every time. Try DVDDecrypter, last version
